ROH Amphitheatre restaurant - Cav/Pag. Imagine a decent vintage port but dry - and this is it. Smoky, concentrated and dense spicy dark hedge fruit; liquorice, some charred oak, dusty integrated tannins - a tad of heat but very smooth. Considerable complexity. Very good value off list. Excellent and for drinking over the next couple of years.

Developing nose with medium intensity aromas of yogurt, strawberries, plums, walnuts, mushrooms and hints of blue flowers. The wine is dry with medium- flabby acidity. It has high tannins and high warm alcohol. It has a full body with medium intensity flavours. Medium+ finish. It is a very good quality wine, slightly flabby and unbalanced but juicy and with an interesting nose.

Oaky, vanilla aspect covering a bit of the natural aromatics of the Touriga Nacional. A shame if you ask me.
