not blind it was an amazing coincidence Rose flight (Cristal Rose 2002 and Veuve Clicquot 1979 Cave privee). This was slightly my favourite. The most elegant of these 3. Fresh, vivid, no annoying fruit. If I had the chance I would buy another one. 98-99

Not sure it's worth the $ amount or hype, but this is an extremely good rose champagne. It needs a lot of air, as it is very bright and full of life nearly jumping out of the glass (in typical bouchard fashion). Glad I finally got to try it.

Enjoyed at lunch. Beautiful bottle with both sweet and smoky strawberry & cherries. Some blood orange on the nose as well as spices and mint. The bubbles were barely there just faintly reminding you that this is Champagne.

(disgorged 18) My first trying this rare rose chez C Bouchard. Paired with a Selosse Rose (19 disgorgement) to kick off dinner. The Bouchard was very pink in colour, very fine beeded persistent perlage, kinky sweet strawberry fruit with a touch of chalkiness for a superb and very fresh/young aperitif rose champagne tasted to me as it was a more recent disgorgement if served blind. Lacked a bit of persistence and depth and length of finish to score higher.

Wow. So pure. Lip smacking acidity throughout the palate, minerality can’t stop won’t stop. Super chalky. BQ getting quince. Quite possibly the longest finish I’ve had on a champagne. @ Chambers

刚开瓶便散发出鲜奶油与玫瑰水乳交融的曼妙气味，顺着气味的牵引，成熟的草莓、沾染水滴的树莓、蔓越莓、覆盆子、红醋栗等红果和苹果、柑橘皮之类的味道浮现，玫瑰盛开，除了带着露珠的新鲜花束之外，还有玫瑰精油和玫瑰香水的意味，花果味很是集中，华丽、繁丽和香艳之中带着丝丝禁欲的清冷，后段有着黄油面包、干薄荷、刚打发好的鲜奶油、矿物粉末和些许草本气息，香气非常高级。口感集中，气泡感细致温和，虽然不是“重量级”，但内容已算丰富，质地轻盈丝滑，颇有“态浓意远淑且真，肌理细腻骨肉匀”意，又有种含苞待放的美丽，玫瑰丛包裹着奶油草莓、树莓、覆盆子，汁水丰盈，似乎被冰凉的泉水浸透了，带着些许清凉草本、柑橘、苹果、矿物、软面包、奶油之类的味道，新鲜灵动，流畅优雅，勾人心魄又清纯，余味很长。97/100

Sweden. Out of white wine glass. Nose is full of perfectly ripe strawberries, apple, cranberry. Bubbles are perfectly moderate. Drinking a very well made wine without flaws. Long finish. This is great.

Very low carbonation, with a slightly chalky notes. Creamy strawberry, toasted almond, and with air picks up a mushroom earthy note. Mid palate shows quite heavy with a plumminess. Tasty but really lacks acidity/energy. It's such a unique wine, and i'm glad to have tried it.

I love the thrill of hunting and chasing down rare wines. The commitment, research, patience is all part of the experience. In my opinion Cédric Bouchard is THE hottest winemaker making Champagne today! All of his Champagnes are otherworldly, but the Creux d’Enfer is from another universe! Fantastic. Elegant and subtle, with a very interesting flavor profile of light and soft red fruit with a firm mineral backbone. Should be really interesting with some age.

The most interesting champagne I have ever drank! A nasty burgundy funk that blew off to reveal a sublime Pinot rose that was perfectly balanced with notes of red fruit and mineral with a lingering finish. Well worth the price and effort to bring back from France. Would work well with food. Drank with Jeff and Chris to celebrate the cubs victory!

Opened by Mark. 350 bottles made. Disgorged April 2015. Grapes sourced from the one third hectare Creax D'Enfer vineyard in the Côte de Bar. The grapes are stomped by foot. 100% Pinot Noir. Made in a Rose de Saignee style. Funk on the nose at first but it blew off. Light pinkish orange color. Loaded with character. If you are looking for a champagne that epitomizes terroir, this is it.
