Paired reasonably well with salmon. Maybe it is past its prime, but it seemed a bit weak. Worked well with our meal and was enjoyable, but not a great value/price proposition. I wouldn't wash it down the drain, but we didn't LOVE it.

The wine looks violet colored. The legs are medium. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like fig, plum and black pepper. It tastes like black currant (cassis). The body is light/medium. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.

Ripe and smoky, delicious with planked salmon on the grill. Classic, lush Carneros Pinot nicely balancing big fruit with enough tannins to make for long, enjoyable finish.

A really good pure Pinot. Light but long berry finish. Almost Port like. Light spice. Maybe a hint of orange peel.

Trip to Copenhagen (Copenhagen) : Nose of pepper and red berries with some acidity in there. The taste is kind of soft even though it is california style peppery. Very balanced acidity. Tasted of red berries with mostly red currant and rowanberry. The finish is strong and nice with even more pepper. The sommelier recommended this wine with dry aged beef and it worked really well together - I was kind of surprised of the result.

Excellent, still powerful and full of bright fruit, vanilla and spice.

A very nice California pinot, lighter than most from that state, with a nice balance between old world and new world styles.

Walker Trade Show (Providence) : Tried it but didn't have an impression one way or another.

A very impressive Pinot, given to me by a friend of the winemaker. Impressively lacking the over-the-top characteristics of many other Carneros Pinots. Instead, the fruit is evident but mild, with a great finish. Excellent on the nose as well.

Red fruit, with some tartness, very light in color the glass with a light mouthfeel too. Good acidity and a bit of herbaceousness that may be from stem inclusion.. or not... but a very nice Pinot that is not in the too big CA style. Opened at party at house organized by wetrock.

Second of 5 bottles...fantastic. Kept open for 3 days and was still going strong on day 3. Fantastic Pinot!

Tasted this immediately upon receipt from the wine club - very light color and slightly cloudy, rich nose of vanilla and spices. Smooth and subtle mouth coating feel with a very creamy texture and a seemingly infinite finish of berry milkshake, more spice and a little earth. A very nice Pinot from Miner. Amazingly soft, creamy and elegant.

We had this at the Miner Family Oracle Club dinner in the caves. I don't think this has even been released yet. Served with black truffle risotto as the second course. Cola and red cherry on the nose and palate. Nice line of acidity that makes this very easy drinking and refreshing. Still quite young, but good now with lots of promise. We sat next to Gary and his wife, Rosella, owners of the vineyard.
