Robust nose of old books, pear, and buttered English muffin. Very Chablis up front, light and playful. Pear and lemon cheesecake with a bit of complexity added by the age. Paired with salmon salad.

This was a pleasant surprise. It shows that a well made Chardonnay can benefit from sitting in a cellar for a few years. A non Chardonnay drinking friend of mine received this as a gift several years ago, and it basically was forgotten and lost in the back of his cellar. So ,we pulled it out, and drank it at cellar temperature just before Thanksgiving dinner. It worked perfectly. The time in bottle helped round out the acid, and really …

Pear, some light peach, and a touch of oak that is fairly obvious (butter/slightly toasted butter scent). Palate brings on grilled pear and a touch of cold butter with a nice round mouthfeel that is pretty silky & slightly creamy. Finishes with a little caramel/butter and some white pear. One note mostly, but pretty well balanced = a good wine; 84+ for me

A touch of spice, green apple, pear and not overly oaked. Very light and crisp chard with a smooth finish. A very enjoyable wine and a household staple for some non-chard drinkers.

Nice RR Chard. Crisp green apple and pear up front, transitioning to a slight creamy richness with moderate oak. Medium bodied, not cloyingly rich or buttery. Finishes with clean acidity and a blast of tropical fruit. Very nice.

Used for cooking. A light yellow/gold color. A very nice nose with apple, pears, minerals and a bit of peach. Medium to full body with very nice acidity. Silky and rich on the palate with apples, pears, and a bit of tangy lime. A nice, mouthwatering finish. This is a very nice chardonnay from a person that usually avoids cal-chards.

Green apple and pear but slathered with new oak and full malolactic fermentation. Very slight tannins and very low acidity. Like another reviewer I got a touch of banana. I thought I was the only one to see this. Glad somebody else noticed also.

This wine is not doing lot for me. It has a burnt toast thing going for it on the palette, and a big oak monster surrounding it. Slight floral aroma on the nose.

Very enjoyable aromatics. Baked cinnamon apples. Who doesn't love that? Fairly oaky, but it doesn't obscure the yellow apple fruit. A very nice chard.

This was the last Chard of the night, and it just did not deliver. In my opinion it's wines like these that give Chardonnay a bad name to the average drinker. Tasted of brown fruit, burnt toast, and heavy oak. When wines are done in this style I want them to knock my socks off. This more or less had me seeking out something red. Tasted with my family on Christmas Eve.

Not too oaky, not too buttery--typical of the Russian River area Chardonnays--really full of citrus and a touch of oak and butter. Very nice with seafood.

Nose of pears, with a lot of the same on the palate, along with some lime and banana notes. Also some mineral character that really comes through on the too-dry, medium-length finish. That said, this is a very well made Chardonnay that doesn't overdo the oak. Quite good for $17.
