The nose simply jumped out of the glass. Fully mature with classic garage forecourt characters and lime fruit. Racy, exquisitely poised and bone-dry it had matured superbly. CHP 91pts

PnP, screw cap, 12% Alc., calm light yellow color without any signs of ageeing. Nose: White stone fruit, Mirabelle, good depth. Palate: Medium body, cool initial mouthfeel, fine lemon, acid and structure, subdued cocktail of white and yellow stone fruit, minerality and black slate in the background, some green flavors, alltogether with a lovely balance. Lovely dry Riesling. Nice acidity with flavor of peach and a hint of lemon. Really hard to beat for the price.

Good intense dry Riesling. Stony, fruity, punchy. Great on its own and even better with a spicy Chinese chicken noodle dish, which gently softened it yet the wine kept much of its intensity. Very good food wine.

You know how, everything else being equal, cheap wines tend to be called simple or monolithic where expensive ones are designated pure and pristine? Well I thought I should rise above that this time. Both Bürklin-Wolf Riesling Trocken and Wachenheimer Riesling takes you to this page, so is it the same wine? I'm guessing the label has been changed to "Riesling Trocken" in recent years, while the wine remains identical. Can anyone confirm or set me straight?

Spicy nose with peachy fruit very very dry, juicy limey fruit, almost Clare valley like Firm acidity, feels like it needs 6 months in bottle minimum to open up Long finish
