I thought this would be over the hill. But it was perfectly aged. Smooth with some decent red fruit and excellent acid. No nutty or oxidized notes. What a great surprise.

Dark fruit with a finish echoing of raisins. Oak does not overwhelm but adds some mellowness. Real nice wine from a real nice place. bottoms up.

I decanted this one (in contrast to #1),and it made a big difference. Some nice cherry-style fruit at first,settling through the bottle into a dry (but not unpleasantly so) red wine. No big deal, but nothing bad.

Decanted for a couple hours while making dinner. Inviting nose of sweet berries, milk chocolate and a hint of earth. Lovely balance and mouth feel, but the fruit on the palate is a bit hollow. Tannins still present making this an ideal match for simple Italian food. Solid QPR here.

This wine is a great everyday drinker that goes really well with simply quick Italian meals- Not overly complex but WAY better than any Chianti I have had in this price range- Think it is under $13 bones- Even goes great with seafood as it does not overpower
