Dinner in the neighbourhood. My bottle. Drank in Conterno Sensory. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of black licorice, black tar, lavendar flowers, blackberries, black cherries, lots of black pepper meat with more air. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (145), structured high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of very smooth blackberries, black cherries, black licorice, dark peppery spices, black olives, sweet floral spices, leather, …

Very dark and black nose, super concentrated fruit, charbon, smoked BBQ meat, incense… loads of ripe tannin, very dark and austere black fruit, lenght of 45 sec.

WOW Bacon smoky nose, ripe black cherries... Delicious, sappy black cherries, super elegant, ripe tannins, lenght 60 sec, BRAVO.

Deep and impenetrable black fruit, cedar wood... Very concentrated black and red cherries, very sappy tannins, lenght of 60 sec, very classic Cote Rotie

La Tablee: Grand Tasting (26 Bridge Street, Brooklyn) : Bigger and bolder in style. Interesting to try this after the 2016 (as it's a newer producer this was the 'back vintage'). Again lots of dark fruit. Get some more gravel notes here in addition to the fruit and blood. Nice wine that I'll keep an eye out for (doesn't seem to be very available in US yet).

Very black nose, very compact, black cherries, jus de myrtilles... Cold black cherries, superb silky tannins, very fresh minerality, lenght of 45 seconds. (1500 bottles produced)
