Gemtree Vineyards Chardonnay Citrine

Merlot and Chardonnay (Farpointe Cellar) : The nose had bread, pear, and citrus. The palate was very smoky, and had lime, bread, and pear.

Lemon, mineral dare I suggest lime with a hint of tropical fruit. Very clean and refreshing with little or no oak. A great value for a chard in a region (McLaren Vale) you would not expect - screwcap and $16 bucks! Drank all the Gemtree bottlings at an Australian tasting and was impressed across the board with the quaility.

Pale yellow in color. Pineapple, caramel, straw and cat pee. Medium bodied with nice richness. Bitter acidity. Tart on the finish. 13.5% alcohol. Showed much better the last time I tried it.

citrus, pear. nice mouth with alot of fruit up front and good acidity.
