What a beautiful expressive expression of Pinot Noir. Not my first time with this and it has really taken a groove since my last visit. Pretty nose of fragrant cool blueberries and dried cranberries. There is an interesting note of iron that while perplexing, does not detract. Palate shows the deft Loring style well, and this one is deep and layered as you would expect. Loring + Cargasacchi fruit = outstanding. A toasty cotton candy and rhubarb nose previews hints of hay and sage with heaps of Hawaiian Punch and cola on the palate. Tart acidity and fine-grain tannins. The $30 qpr is bueno.

Delicious. Medium ruby, pronounced aromas and flavors, nose of red fruits, cherry, hint of astringency that fades, palate is dry and integrated, plum, kirsch, red currant, herbaceous, tomato leaf, hint of vanilla, earth, silky tannins, acidity is high, full bodied, long finish with a hint at the high alcohol. Fantastic QPR.

Fantastic. Made the mistake of drinking right after opening. A bit strong and peppery without air. After an hour - much mellower. Nice ruby color out of the bottle. Nose of fruit with some earth. Taste is well rounded. Taste of berries with a hint of cherry. Medium long finish. A great wine for the price.

Medium ruby. Nose of dried dark fruit and something sticky sweet (like Trader Joe’s dried Montmorency cherries). Initial taste is that dried/candied cherries plus other dried dark fruits and prunes. The finish has a bit of spice some bitterness. Medium minus tannins, which is surprising for a pinot. This is a big, extracted wine—14.1 ABV and it shows. It’s drinkable now, but will probably improve with a some additional aging. I suspect tannins will soften and the big fruit notes …
