Note: I use the recommended scale, so 85 represents a very good wine. Pretty much the same as last year. From a mag. Decent, but not that impressive.

Note: I use the recommended sale. From a magnum. I thought this was a good, but not particularly noteworthy wine. Traditional CDR palate, but nothing special. I did not find the favors to be as pronounced as others did. Uncharacteristically, we did not finish the bottle (party of four), so I may revisit tomorrow.

WIML92 Tasted from magnum. Tasted non blind as part of a vertical tasting. Garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of flowers, berries and plums. Flavors of berries, raspberries and plums. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink now. Good representation of Cotes du Rhone.

Beautiful wine, since I was congested I had no sense of smell there are no notes. Everyone loved the wine.

This wine is drinking fine right now with an hour’s breathing time. Nice subtle nose, a bit of tannins on the tongue but a clean finish. Not sure if I would recommend as a stand alone drink, as food seems to make it far more agreeable.

Whoa. This was way better than expected- age has brought out some nice savory secondary characteristics and this is just perfectly in balance right now and so easy to drink. Ok, I guess I believe now.

Delicious. While dominant Syrah, not overpowering on the nose nor palate. Ripe, dark currents and raspberries, with a lick of tannin and licorice. Pretty, and just evolved as the meal went on. Eager to see what the next one does in a few more months.

As Joe Cocker sang, "everything I hope for, everything I need", this little bottle of cheer simply performs so beautiful to me in its role as a grabinthemiddlofthedaytogowithwhatever's for lunch, kinda wine. Unchanged, as far as I can tell from my last one in September.

For a Rhone, this seems very fruit forward to me. We'll see if it blossoms a little after some exposure. Fruit is, well, grape! And a very, very little briar.

Nice herbal berry hit of flavor but ultimately weak and fleeting.

As predicted, this is developing nicely into a juicy little morsel of Rhone goodness. Clean and simple, but hitting all the right notes on balance and bouquet. Dry cherry and a little citrus, pink peppermint, leather, and fennel. Short to medium finish and food-wise, can pair with just about anything. 5+10+15+8= 88
