Brambly, stemmy greenness on the nose along with tart red fruits. On the palate it's sour cherry, sour plum and rhubarb leading cedar, dry brambley herbaceousness, a hint of polish/varnish. Tasted alongside the '23 GS Primavera and the Applejack seems like the very pretty, forward wine while the Primavera is more savoury and more green. I'd drink the Applejack first and hold the Primavera; or if yet to buy then the Applejack is the clear pick for me. Edit: added …

Real Review - Top Wineries of Australia (Kimpton Margot Sydney) : Medium minus intensity aromas, slightly meaty wild ferment notes, muted red and black hued fruits, very slightly jubey note and sweet spice. In the mouth it's textured and tight, grippy to the detraction of the fruit unfortunately. Bah.

Very pale ruby red. Delicate red fruit driven, rhubarb red cherry & cranberry, pine needle, baking spice. Touch of stem. Maybe this is too young but the palate lacks drive, intensity and concentration for a wine of this price. Light on its feet, delicate, silky smooth with med- tannin, palate confirms the nose. Maybe it will get better with time, or maybe this is just how it is. Meh

Red and black cherry, strawberry, dark rose. Ok balance. Maybe needs more time. Maybe not for me.
