Georg Breuer, Rauenthaler Nonnenberg Riesling, Rheingau

Really crisp and youthful Riesling with an exciting development over the hours. Started with lemon curd and yuzu, with time some curry notes, slight pepper and a little more stone fruit. I think this has a great future ahead and might gain even more complexity.

Terrific young riesling. Lots of tension and vibration. Changed very much over the evening, even after double decanting it 24 h in advance. In the end a bowl of exoticc fruits with backbone and long mineral finish. drink or hold

Breuer online Tasting with Theresa Breuer : Glass: Zalto Universal Online tasting. 100ml bottle filled from Magnum bought at release and perfectly stored. Drunk two and three days later. Clear, pale golden color. Clean, medium- youthful nose. Chalky mineral notes, some herbs fine yellow fruit. Still muted and closed. Georg Breuer - Vertical Riesling Nonnenberg 2001,2006-2018 + X (@Private location) : *** brief not from vertical tasting *** Glass: Gabriel Standard Popped and poured. Clear, pale golden color. Woderful deep, mineral and complex nose, not even close to full development. On the palate a monster in the making, but still rather closed or shut down. Vibrant energy, high acidity, enormous extract, very precise and focused. Lots of chalky mineral. Very long! Great potential. 92+++ Wait 5+ years.

Pre tasting dinner (Restaurant Rüdesheimer Schloss, Rüdesheim, Germany) : Popped and poured, no written notes taken, just some impressions from memory. Way too young, great potential. Extract, phenolic, good acidtity. Only very tight and closed at this early stage. Not rated

Open House at Georg Breuer (Rudesheim) : {cork, 12%, ~€48} Closed, slatey and steely. The palate has a certain purity to it, with spiced apple flavours, a dry talc-like texture and a gently focussed but quite tight medium-bodied palate with lots of mid-palate presence and a medium length finish. Aristocratic.
