Domaine Jean-Claude Bachelet et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Macherelles

Wow, this is drinking beautifully now with excellent intensity and precision. There is just a touch of reduction that adds to the wine along with flavors of citrus and mint. The texture is weighty and fine and the acidity juicy and taut. Th finish is just so incredibly complex with great mineral crunch along with hints of tropical fruits and spices. Really stunning and I thought Leflaive Chevalier blind.

A flat out brilliant bottle. Like a Chevalier turned up to 11. Appalling cork however that was eviscerated by the screw pull

Stunning white Burgundy for the price.

This is a crazy-good white Burgundy with tons of complexity and unique flavors. Excellent juicy acidity underlies strong flavors of citrus, Indian spice and smoky minerals and it builds to a finish of great intensity with real cut and taut grip. . Seems perfectly mature to me now.

Jasper class. Floral and pear notes with impressive intensity and richness. Best plot of Blanchots abutting Montrachet per Jasper. Terrific 1er.

really nice wine, open, lush, again a little broad and fat. This works well in a classic year, but I wonder how these wines from a solar year show?

Powerful, long and full as a Chardonnay should be but with just the right amount of tannins to carry the fruity, vanilla caramel flavours. Worthy of a place in anyone's cellar.
