I don't drink a lot of chardonnay so I don't have a very stong frame of reference. I first tasted this wine at the winery and found it pretty interesting. I talked with the winemaker who said it was made in 100% aged oak. I drank a bottle last night and really enjoyed it.Very nice caramel complexity that must be coming from the aged oak. Well balanced with a hint of citrus that plays well with the caramel flavor.
