If you still have this around from Bonny doon wine club drink up as wine is on the edge in 2015. Still drinkable but fruit notes flat. Did improve after decanting and opening up while eating with a grilled steak. Frankly amazed that wine made it to 2015 with no special cellaring.

dry, astringent, acidic. medicinal sour cherry flavor. Strong tannins. It did improve somewhat with time.

Not bad. A fair amount of fruit and acidity, but it's starting to lose its structure. Drink up.

Unique sense of balance, quality and long finish. Uncompromising and glorious throughout. Accent to a fantastic dinner or perfect on its own. Rich colour and tannins with a lovely spice finish.

Really atypical and not in the style and range of the barolos it was served with. Too bad, as I'm sure that on its own it would have been very good, but it looked a bit akward...

Very funky nose. Sour cherries with an almost plastic undertone. On the palate, the initial attack of sour cherries transitions to a certain spiciness. The astringence on the backend is balanced with a splash of acidity that makes the mouth water. Definitely a food wine. This would never be mistaken for an old world wine though.

Earthy, mushroom nose. Very dry, astringent, persimmon. Quite a unique tasting wine. Tasted at the winery.

A controversial wine in the house. I enjoyed, others disliked the tartness. High price for the average quality.

A definite improvement over the Stolpman Vineyard Nebbiolo, but all that really means is that this is at least drinkable. Tastes like Welch's grape juice with a touch of spice. Decent tannin structure gives it some body. Probably one of the better reds that I have had from Bonny Doon (which isn't saying much), but I have had 10 times better for half the price.
