Bermejos, Lanzarote, Listan Negro Maceracion Carbonica

Flower Day - Pours translucent garnet into the glass. Can smell the carbonic influence from a metre away. Other elements on the nose are pomegranate, red cherry, savoury herbs, ash and some crushed rock. On the palate there’s cool red fruit, candied apple, spice, ash, and a weird but very pleasant medicinal note (menthol?). Savoury on the finish with a lovely ash note along with candied red fruit and bright acidity. I quite like this! Unique and I won’t attempt …
