Catherine et Claude Maréchal Bourgogne

Nose was earth and forest floor. Bone dry, dried cheery with very pronounced tobacco on the finish. I am not that experienced with French wines. Lacked some spice and bright cherry I am accustomed to. Perhaps this is typical for an Old World pinot. Overall, enjoyable wine but not real approachable at first.
