Wine Ark Boys Lunch (Noi Restaurant, Petersham) : Lemon, waxy notes, really mineral underpin, a little wet leaf note. Medium plus intensity acidity with a tiny touch of residual sugar, citrus, mineral texture, slightly savoury underpin; wet stone, really good.

Youthful. Very fruity, flinty. Off dry, decently balanced. A bit wild and awkward.

Couleur beurre, densité moyenne. Nez expressif, fleur blanche, malva, beurre écossais Bouche généreuse, pêche à chair blanche, sucrosité bien présente et dépassant nettement l'acidité. Beurre caramel. Bon dans son style, prendre garde à l'accord. Maintenir frais.

Interesting, not quite what I expected. Just off dry, a creamy peachy and ripe apple nose, a hint of lees, a spritz of lemon. It’s medium to full bodied on the palate, textural, suggests a bit of skin contact. Quite rich with a tiny spritz and it’s not all about the acidity (though it’s there). A herbal edge on the finish. Not massively concentrated but flavoursome enough- nice as an aperitif or with food that has a bit of sweetness …

Screwtop! Very pale. Big apple pie and stonefruit nose, crisp and bright and clean. Dry on the finish. Banging, especially for the price.

Very slightly off dry Pronounced minerality on the nose, with some apples with cinammon The palate has savoury notes and apple notes blended equally together. Like what I imagine late fall, early winter apples might taste like. Subtle warm baking spices. Maybe some other tree fruits. It’s certainly not unidimensionally apple - I’m just struggling to identify the other components adding to its conplexity Squeaky acidity Very good to excellent length of apples

Jolie nez sur les fruits blancs confits et une trame minérale. De la belle ampleur fruité toujours sur les fruits blancs. Les 11 g. de sucre, se font évidemment sentir. Perso, j'aime plus sec, mais pour ce style rien à redire.

Fresh, juicy fruit, nice acidity, silex chalkiness apparent.

Fragrant, crisp but without the excessive acidity I find in so many similar wines, a lovely apple crumble palate. Perfect for drinking now with Asian food, or just on its own on a warm day. Just like it says on the back label. Doesn't quite get 90 from me, as that apple crumble fruit is just a bit too simple, broad, and sweet. This, apparently, is the modern style of Vouvray, what they call "sec tendre". I've not had one …

Fresh and lively Vouvray, pretty much bone dry, just a hint of RS, but it does not manifest as genuine sweetness; this is firmly in the realm of Vouvray sec, though it does say so on the label. Airy and vivacious aromas of apple, pear, quince, a bit of citrus candy, honeysuckle and herbs, a touch of ethereal sweet nuttiness. Zippy and mineral, on the light side for serious Vouvray. Long on minerality and tart fruit, with gorgeous herbal and …
