Smooth, oaky with good minerality and acidity

The nose has a little citrus, some faint oak, some buttery richness and slight whiff of spice. The palate has an instant hit of lemons and citrus, but in a subtle way, that gives way to a richness and fullness that can only intensify with a few more years in age. In short delicious but young. This isn't an everyday drinker at £45 from @champagnesandchateaux and well worth the expense to #giveanewwineago. 91

Affordable Burgundy (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street) : A little sulphur, sweet spice, peach, cream, a little butter, a little sweet oak is controlled. On the palate the acid again has the initial impression of softness, peachy fruit, creamy texture. Quite simple and needs a bit of time.

Soft and oily nose. Petroleum and not dissimilar to notes aged Reisling or Semillon. Palette is fresh pear and soft oak. Long finish.

Clear medium lemon with a high brilliance. Youthful on the nose with aromas of lemon, fresh apricot, and parsley, with a hint of soft clay soils. Quite some acid freshness and rather light bodied, with lemon and apple flavours, some brine, and parsley. Nice freshness and simplicity, though I’m not sure if that is characteristic of the fabled Chassagne-Montrachet. Very persistent though

By the glass. A bottle to be consumed sooner than later. No sense of terroir unless you consider that Chassagne's main contribution is softness, maturity and accessibility. It's not my case. Obvious aromas of peach, butter or sweet spices. On the palate watery texture with a contained acidity. A soulless wine I have to say. Por copas. Una botella para consumir antes que después. Nice richness and generosity to the nose. Well balanced, fresh and vibrant, good depth and concentration, good length. Well made. 90-91+
