Patton Valley Vineyard Chardonnay Wente Clone

Pretty tropical flavors on the nose, a bit of malo richness, maybe a bit of vanilla from oak. On the palate none of that oak comes out, it almost seem stainless fermented. Starts off rich, peachy, cantaloupe, richness initially but turns tart and fresh as the wine evolves, green apples, limes. Better chilled, as it warms up it falls apart a bit. Really delicious, pretty complex in how this evolves on the palate, increasing the score for me a bit.

I'm not a fan of a woody Chardonnay, so this was a stellar bottle! In the glass: clear bright yellow. On the nose: Mineral, light, sweet. In the mouth: light body, Crisp, acidic, with residual sweetness on tongue. Not at hint of woodiness and an easy drinker right out of the bottle. Would be especially nice with any light fare like fish or salad. I would buy it again if available and I don't normally like whites. :)
