A great recommendation by the Somm at Antica Bottega del Vino in Verona. A blend of Nebbiolo and Neiret from Aosta. Really satisfying- the verve, energy and clarity of mountain Nebbiolo with a down and dirty, slightly smudgy, pulpy and balsamic foundation. Structured but approachable, sweet and savoury- a lot of fun.

Garnet red/brick orange. A bit faded. Dark nose: vegetal underwood, humus, bark, on a ripe red fruits' background. At taste the tertiary component is prevailing on a shy fruity note. A bit of I would, but I can't. AiS 2023: 88/90
