Hints of citrus and tropical notes that paired beautifully with chilled seafood salad

Straw colored. 14.5% ABV. Brilliant nose of citrus, pear, green apple and freshly mowed grass. Refreshing and bright with racy acidity. Honey, grapefruit, apple and minerals on the palate. The finish is long, crisp and tangy. Year in and year out this is one of the very best Sauvignon Blancs from California. Drink this particular vintage soon.

Fresh, long lived, and so tasty for a five year old Sauvignon Blanc. Started off a little funky but it quickly shifted to aromas of lemons, white tree fruit, and some green bean complexity. Very exotic on the palate, with a crisp, quince-like texture, and a myriad of concentrated citrus flavors that leave behind a tingly, kumquat sensation that is simply delightful. Totally exceeded my expecations.

Russian River themed tasting. One of two Sauv Blancs, the other from Merry Edwards. This was steelier and less round than the ME, but quite pleasant and complex. Definitely looked the part of a Sauvignon Blanc, light straw gold. Good stuff as usual from Rochioli.

Served blind. An initially shy and funky nose quickly blows off/opens up with very typical gooseberry, grassy and grapefruit notes. Palate has round and sweet fruit with nice tart acid providing balance. Has some wood spice notes in the finish which add interest and flavor. Clearly new world. A solid, polished SB.

Such a lovely Sav. Blanc - perfectly crisp, and totally refreshing. No point in waiting - I'm going to drink the rest of my bottles over the coming few weeks!

Bright and energetic with citrus and tropical notes. A little rich and toasty while not overdone. A bit better than a year ago.

This wine hasn’t budged an inch in the last year when I wrote: “The color here is a pale golden moon. Fig, white grapefruit and lymon dominate this wine from nose to palate, from attack to finish. The finish presents the minerality of wet limestone. Much the same on the palate but with a creamy quality. The palate is abundant with stoney-flintiness. A very rich mouthfeel. Balanced and beautiful.” Unfortunately, this is my last bottle. 14.5% alc. With chicken picatta …

The color here is a pale golden moon. Fig, white grapefruit and lymon dominate this wine from nose to palate, from attack to finish. The finish presents the minerality of wet limestone. Much the same on the palate but with a creamy quality. The palate is abundant with stoney-flintiness. A very rich mouthfeel. Balanced and beautiful. 14.5% alc. With broiled bone-in chicken breast with goat stuffing. Not a good pairing, however. Not big enough for the chicken. Highly Recommended.

The color here is a pale golden moon. The nose is filled with fig, lime, and other citrus notes. Wet limestone comes through in a very muted manor. Much the same on the palate but with a creamy quality. The palate is abundant with stoney-flintiness. A very rich mouthfeel. Balanced and beautiful. 14.5% alc. With the goaty goodness of multiple goat based cheese. Highly Recommended.

This was wonderful. Bright and acidic, plenty of fruit. Very easy to drink. Alongside a Paul Thomas Sancerre it was a world apart (duh!) and split the table on which was better.

At the SB tasting, followed a grassy one from New Zealand. Definitely more California in style, with some oak, but not overwhelmingly so. Nice roundness to it. Some thought it was simple, I thought it rather complex.

The nose if full of fig, quince, and white grapefruit. Some wet limestone makes a muted noise as the wine warms. The wet limestone is more prominent on the palate. The mouthfeel is big, round and rich for a SB, even a California SB. Nothing steely or stripped out about this SB at all. At 14.5% alc. it’s not a shy wine, but the alcohol doesn’t show on the palate. Nothing is out of balance. Again, a beautiful wine. With …

Great value SB. Given the price, you can make this a daily drinker; but with typical Rochioli quality, you can serve it with confidence at your next dinner party.

This wine is absolutely singing right now, it has the verve and personality I remember about Rochioli SB's which neither of the first two bottles we opened (closer to a year ago) showed. Time or bottle variation?--no idea. Green bell pepper and gooseberry with a dash of passion fruit, good intensity. A stunner.

14.5% alcohol. This really is about drinking at its peak right now. Crisp on the nose and palate. Light grass notes in the bouquet, which is dominated by grapefruit and citrus. In the mouth, focused and refined, with terrific balance and just tremendously lively. The fruit is juicy but crisp, with plenty of acidity, and the wine just carries on with terrific force. A-
