Moderately reductive on the nose. A bit high-toned, with some yellow fruits, and some coconutty oak as well. The palate is fairly lean and taut, with good minerality and acidity. The fruit is a bit broader here, though it never feels fat or sweet, and there is some waxiness (perhaps attributable to the village). This seems to be a wine cut from the same cloth as PYCM, though with less fruit extraction and ripeness.

Wines at the Ambassade de Bourgogne, Paris : Colour light lemon. A pure and fresh nose of lemon, pear, crushed rock and chalk, with some minerality. As it warmed a little in the glass, I found notes of white flowers. On palate quite opulent, with silky texture and good mouthfeel. A Few Days in Paris; 6/10/2014-6/14/2014 (Various Locations, Paris) : Yellow. Nose of pure orange peel and white flowers. Elegant weight, very silky feel, a touch of lactic creaminess, gorgeous citrus leaning toward lemon, perfect acidity and balance. An absolutely wonderful Chassagne for drinking now and over the next few years so as not to lose its seductive fruit, although it is so superbly balanced that it might well keep well beyond that point.
