14.1% alcohol. Brick red center with orange-tinted rim. Lovely red-fruited nose with a touch of wet dog and earth for complexity. The palate displays surprisingly youthful fruit with red cherry, rhubarb, and cola. I don't detect any bitterness or drying tannins in this 13 year-old wine. Good acidity to showcase the fruit and integrated tannins. Short finish. Overall, this is the best experience I have had with this wine. The fruit is still vibrant, and that is in direct opposition …

Purple color with a slight brown tint. Dark fruited nose - plums, dark cherry, and raspberry. The palate followed the nose with a distinct mineral streak through the finish. This wine is medium-bodied with good acidity and drying tannins. The finish is decent with dark fruit, a tart component, and minerals. Overall, this is a wine that is on the heavier, darker end of the spectrum, and while serviceable, it is not memorable.

Blood red color. The nose is relatively simple with red raspberry and cherry but no secondary notes. The palate echoes the nose and seems quite linear. Structurally, this bottle is medium-bodied with good acidity and some tannins on the moderate finish. Overall, this wine was good, like a utility infielder who hits .250 and plays solid defense, but it really did not excite me. It failed to deliver the quality of such a great vineyard, so I would rather drink …

Dark red center with pink rim. Upon opening, the nose was dark-fruited with plums, dark cherry, and minerals. With air, this slowly unfolded and displayed cranberry and sassafras. On the palate, there was dark fruit, earth, autumnal (dried leaves) notes, sassafras, and cranberry. The mid-palate lacked some density, and there are some moderate tannins. The finish had good length, and the initial bitterness subsided with air. Overall, this needed some time to stretch its legs, but it was well made …

My wife said the aroma reminded her of strawberry milk.

In a nice place right now--after a short decant, the nose is very expressive with that characteristic Olivet Lane cherry note (all kinds of cherries) plus some really nice floral and spice scents. The mouthfeel of the wine is extremely silky but has presence and is mouthcoating as well with flavors that continue on from the nose. Definitely California, but a very elegant and refined wine. Good QPR.

Dark purple color. Nose - raspberry and roses. Palate - raspberry, tobacco, and earth. Structure - medium-bodied, good acidity, and some tannins Finish - moderate Pairing - With chocolate fudge, softened the tannins and melded well with the wine. With raspberry cookies, overpowered the wine because the cookie was sweeter than the wine.

Light ruby color. The nose was not very complex displaying moderate cherry notes. The typical power of Olivet Lane had faded into something frail but still alive with cherry and strawberry flavors. The acidity was balanced and the tannins resolved, but the midpalate is thin. The finish was moderate and the fruit delicate. Overall, this is on the downhill side of the aging curve with simple fruit, a weak midpalate, and a moderate finish.

Simple and straightforward. Light red fruit on nose. No big tannins. No imposing oak. Not bad for a $22-24 pinot, although wish it had just a touch more weight or substance.

Slightly murky medium-dark rub colour. Benzaldehyde-y Maraschino cherry and tobacco on the nose, which is spicy, rich, and earthy. Funk galore - mushroomy, earthy - almost smoky! On the palate it's stewed cherries and Maraschino and black cherry, a bit of prune and cassis. Very smooth yet mouth-puckering tannins (esp for a PN) and great acidity gives delicious tartness akin to a Charbono. Old World style. Light to medium bodied and a bit hot on mid-palate. Long, spicy finsih; tobacco, …

Darkish garnet color with a little bricking at the rim. Ripe cherry strawberry fruit, tomato leaf and a little high toned mint add interest for me. Supple and a bit sweet on the finish. Nice with some grilled Ahi tuna. I would drink up any remaining bottles pretty soon, as the wine started to fall apart after about 2 hours of air.

I thought this wine was going to be quite tart with the its initial bouquet. However, upon drinking it was very smooth with a strong taste of mocha and a smooth finish.
