Great white Italian wine from the Sirmione area. Terrific with fish.

Pale straw color. Pear and white flowers on the nose. Sweet peach on the palette. Slightly sweet but has medium acidity to balance out. The Turbiana grape is supposedly the same as Verdicchio. Took this to my weekly blind and others thought it was a Sardinian Vermentino, a Spanish Macabeo, a South African Albariño and a Assyrtiko from Santorini.

from Lugana, Simione in the northern Lakes region of Italy this is a crisp white wine muted with a sense of minerality and wonderful with mussels or lake fish, or rabbit or duck.

Bosc pear, apricot and white flowers on the nose. Sweet peach on the palette. So so wine. A little too sweet for my taste without enough acid to cut through.

Light straw yellow color in the glass. On the nose, aromas of pear, nectarines, and citrus. On the palate, flavor notes mirror the wine’s aromas with a medium textured mouthfeel. Good clean acidity with smooth finish. The 2020 vintage of this wine appeared a bit more vibrant.

Very pretty bright straw color. Lemons and fresh hay in the nose. Biggest surprise is the rich body, almost luscious. Off-dry, medium acid. Peach, pear, lemon all in the soft well balanced flavors. Impressive.

Viscous Grass, a little cat's pee Soft, ripe, rich Good stuff I'm not actually much of a white wine drinker, so you might want to ignore my note.

Drunk for dinner with roasted pepper and feta pasta. 13%. Pale, bright gold. Toasted hazelnuts, quince, orange and papaya with mineral tones - developed well with plenty of air. Just missing a little acidity that would have balanced it out better - this gives it a slight apparent sweetness although it is dry. Very enjoyable wine. Very much still in its mature drinking window - no rush.

Lots of lemon and lime, some stone fruit, a mild spice component and chalky minerality, with fresh, lively acidity and very good length. Very fresh and quite unique. The wine has fleshed out and gained weight over the last two years. Another great bottle! Good value! Highly recommended.

Vin Chicago Pre-Holiday Tasting and Sale (Vin Chicago - Chicago IL) : Walk around tasting. 100% Trebbiano. Ok depth and fruit with a somewhat bitter finish that detracted from the wine overall. OK.

Still very youthful and fresh. Strong lime flavour that carries body and alcohol easily to a long finish. Fantastic bottle. Great with grilled fish and lemon. Still a few years of life in it

Really unique wine, I'd have to agree with other tasters. Excellent dry, fruity, plenty of acid, and even a slight frizante impression. I'd expect additional complexity to emerge with at least two more years of aging.

The medium-bodied wine was medium lemon in colour and offered citrus, waxy cat pee, chalk and a mild vegetal component on the nose and palate, with great, fresh acidity and good length. Pretty unique. Good value, too. One of the very few wines where I'd say the younger the better.

Crisp, youthful nose with medium intensity. Lime, Granny Smith apple, green pear, white flowers, crushed rocks and rubber hose. Not far away from a classic Riesling nose. Very dry, high acidity and medium(-) body. Again lots of tart green fruit coming through. Tart and zesty mouthfeel. Medium(+) intensity of flavors. A lingering, mouthwatering finish. Again it struck me how much this reminds me of good quality Riesling. This is actually really good. Maybe a bit tight and one-dimensional today but …

Cleared the bottle quickly by pairing it to lemon risotto with carrots and salmon. The yellow fruits on the palate worked greatly together with the risotto! Unchanged nice given my first tasing note.

N: Powerful citrus nose. Smokey, rocky, lemony, limey. A bit of fresh green apples to round off the nose. P: Lovely, big palate of acid, fruit and minerals. Unfortunately the finish is a bit short, and the alcohol just a tiny tad hot. O: Great wine, with the depth, roundness and fruit of a good white from Burgundy. Great QPR. Unfortunately it finishes a bit early.

Color: Pale yellow Smell: Lemon, mineral, kumkuats, and kiwi Taste: Quince, lime, mineral, and tart green apple Overall: Light-Medium body, high acidity, and vivid citrus fruit flavors make this an excellent wine for seafood and cream based dishes. Paired with Lobster and hummus (seperately) very well...I wish I had bought more.
