Solid Washington cab, distinct green pepper notes, aging nicely since my last bottle in 2021. Poured on Coravin, benefitted greatly from some air time in the glass, got noticably better over an hour.

Consumed over 3 nights, first two under gas. A longer finish would have brought the score up. But otherwise right where it should be. Not jammy but plummy with blackberry compote. Tannins are soft, so I suppose fully resolved. Winery notes don’t mention Petit Verdot but it sure tastes like it’s in there. Very dark red color. Drank a couple small glasses over 2 hours. The nose is more subtle, and shows some stemminess, blackberry, later showing some dried leaves and earth. The palate has dark fruit, but it seems to be fading; blackberry, plum, very peppery and a bit herbaceous, wood, some glycerin is match by some heat, hint of blue fruits, grainy firm tannins on a medium body. Still drinking well, but I will say that I liked it a little more (intense fruit) in the first couple hours after decanting. Held up well, though, for many hours. Still one of my favorite all-time WA State Cabs. It's the notable Petit Verdot, I think. And, at the mystery Garagiste price ($20), just a little obscene. Glad I bought a case blind, but sad that I only have two bottles left.

Still one of my favorite U.S. wines. Drinking beautifully and seductively. I just don't see how 93 is overzealous for such a composed New World wine.

Used mostly in a lamb shank braise. However, I certainly had a glass to test first. Dark berry, sous bois and fresh herb in the nose, the flavors were fresh, dark, black currant, black pepper and a hint of oak. For $20 with 11 years on it, this is bangin’. I’d probably look to drink within 2 years so prunes don’t set in. A really good deal at this point.

Still drinking fabulously. Intense fresh raspberries, tart cherries, and black cherries hit the palate after a relatively short decant. Some herbs, pine boughs, and brambles, too. This is a lovely New World break from the many Old World Bordeaux that we drink. Love the Petit Verdot here. This wine is probably not worth 93 points (my previous score(s)), but it's just so darn tasty that I can't help it. Only 4 more bottles left from a case.

Opened and drank part of bottle #4 of 5 purchased from Garagiate a few years ago. I should have had more sense than to try to open it with a corkscrew; between the age of the cork and the wax seal, it was a disaster. I didn’t follow my own advice, which is never to use a corkscrew on a ten-year-old (or older) bottle. A waiter’s key works much better on aged corks. The wine itself is way too fruity …

Corked, not drinkable. A private note from early 2016 indicates mild cork taint and that the bottle was salvageable via the ziplock / plastic method. Given that there are only 67 CT public TNs out of 725 bottles consumed, I'm left to wonder how many others had this unfortunate experience. (There are sometimes good reasons wines are offered as a heavily discounted "mystery".)

Displays a deep ruby color, without signs of bricking. Fully mature with expressive, deep, rich and complex aromas and flavors: crushed cherries, drying berries, cooked plums, powered cocoa, old shoe leather, dried tobacco, and crusty red dirt. Tannin, acid and fruits in harmony. Full bodied and medium plus alcohol. Finishes long. Stood up to a chargrilled ribeye. Drinking very well, but not expected to improve with further cellaring. Should drink well for another two to three years, possibly longer.

Corked; not terribly. Tasted okay, but undrinkable for the nose. Think this may have been the second such bottle of six -- anyone else have a similar occurrence? Garagiste, BTW.

Brought to Ralf's for berlin wall party. Solid mid-weight cab with some herbal notes to add interest. K felt something with it was slightly off but I didn't really get that. It was nothing special, but was a solid wine for the price of $20

Pop and pour. Perfect with pot roast. Nice nose with black cherry, hickory, smoke and a liqueur note...on the palate, very good aciduty and loads of smoky black cherry. On the finish, finely grained tannin. Seems to be ending the primary phase, but isn't showing a ton of secondary yet. Best showing so far, but not sad this is my last bottle, as I can't see how secondary will improve this...

Mid-dark garnet; smokey, herbaceous, ripe grape, prune and cedar nose; mid-big body; grapey; still tannic; a little one-dimensional; long semi-chewy finish. w/ribs.

Pop and pour. More primary than I remember. A touch of hickory, loads of cinnamon, blueberry and a hint of barbecue. On the palate, good acidity, and some bbq wood followed by blackberry and a finely grained tannic finish. Drinking very well now, and very good with tritip.

Served with steak au poivre. Decanted 30 mins--would recommend 1-2 hours given how the wine opened up during meal. Quite delicious with the rich & flavorful sauce. Lovely rich red fruit, cherry, plum, earth/spice/cedar, bit of oak/vanilla with great acid-tannin balance supporting it all--giving it a rich, smooth and transparent palate--perhaps made so in juxtaposition with the pepper/cognac/cream sauce. Enjoyable cab that caught me up as evening progressed.

Wow - what a peasant surprise and a great WA cab. reminds me of a friends favorite song; my finish tastes like cherry cola.... menthol, graphite, plum, Asian spices, concentration, finish with coffee/espresso notes.

Decanted. Hickory smoke, charcoal, cinnamon, blackberry on the nose. On the palate, round and plush. A touch flabby at first, but the acidity kicks in and gives this some zip. Clean soft tannic finish. Drinking very well with a decant + about an hour now.
