Well balanced with a lot of citrus in the profile. Wish it had a touch of brioche but still its a tasty bottle of bubbly.

Meh. It’s fine. Lots of acidity blotting out the fruit underneath. Certainly drinkable and not totally unappealing. Passable when there is no good sparkling available.

PnP. Fallow straw color with clear edge. Muted nose of green apple and yeast lees. On the palate: its a bit flabby with green apple notes, a backnote of yeast lees and a touch of residual sugar. Frothy mousse of fine bubbles and a creamy mouthfeel. Medium to long finish of malic acid, salinity and very slight earthiness / yeast lees. Lacks depth and didn't present as good QPR.

Smells a bit like Cava with the funk on the nose. And kinda on the palate as well. All it, its tasty, but why not drink Cava at half the price?

Tart and mineral on the palate, but the fruit is initially a bit hard to find. The Fourth Annual World’s Largest Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine; 12/20/2021-12/23/2021 : Retail $25. 100% Chardonnay. Quite light in the glass, with aromas of green apple, ripe peach, and just a touch of baked bread. A delicate sparkle leads to a lovely palate of tree fruit (peach, pear), ample tartness, and just a hint of verve. Back last Spring, I bought a couple of bottles of this (which is hard to get here), and they were excellent...complex, and full of character. So I tried to get them for months, and finally succeeded. This one was not equal to its predecessors; it was decent, and certainly drinkable, but not noteworthy, with no complexity. It was a generally good generic sparkling wine. There must have been a difference of source or disgorgement date.

Gloria Ferrer bubbles : Light yellow color. Aromas are tart and tangy with limes and green apples, light biscuits, sea salt, with some nettle and honeysuckle. Light and zesty on the palate with fine bubbles, this is fun and fresh with lines and green apples. Saline, chalk, lots of white flowers. Fresh and fun but significant complexity, this is a solid bubbly for holiday parties for sure. Aged two years on the lees, 100% Chardonnay.

Clean & crisp with a range of yeast infused citrusy flavors and aroma. Not a head turner but certainly a solid enjoyable value for $15. For me, CA does the sub $20 price point for champagne styled wines better than anyone. Add $10 plus and no one beats the French, for me.

Napa/Sonoma Trip With Some Exceptional Gems; 11/1/2017-11/5/2017 (1800ft Up Cavedale Road, Glen Ellen, CA) : Same bottle as Chablis28. We tasted this at the Chateau earlier in the afternoon. I wasn't that crazy about it at the time, it seemed rather edgy - maybe it had been open awhile or something. But this bottle was fresh, lively and very clean. 90+pts.

Lonny's btl picked up at the winery on our 1st stop of a great wine country trip. This is largely a winery only offered wine. Birght, crisp ultra pure chardonnay BdB with green apple, lemon, mineral and toast. A very pleasing and balanced BdB but not overly complex. Very fun starter tonight from one of my "go to" CA value sparkling producers.

While I agree this is a tad on the lighter side, we found this very enjoyable and complex with tastes of apple and touch of citrus. This was not austere, but still dry, not sweet. Very enjoyable. Had it with fresh, home cooked blackeyed peas at midnight MST to ensure good luck. For $16.99 we thought this was quite good.

Airy nose. Light, crisp with citrus, apple, and pear notes. Delightful toast to 2016!

Light gold color. Nose has yeast, fresh dough, lightly floral, citrus. The palate is tart with green apple, lemon, yeast, mineral and a hint of sweetness. Always reliable and a solid QPR.

Light lemon yellow color with abundant, speedy, tiny bubbles; almond, almond cream, apple cream nose; creamy textured, apple, almond cream, mineral palate with lowish acidity; medium-plus finish (12.5% alcohol)

Aromas of white and yellow flowers, lemon curd, toasted bread and a lot of minerals. Tangy acid kicks off the palate, which shows yellow apple and apricot fruit. I love the shot of minerals, chalk and river stones, and the hazelnut note on the finish. Crisp, some complexity, and very good for the price.
