Geantet-Pansiot, Gevrey-Chambertin

bright medium ruby. youthful and fairly expressive wine with aromas and flavours of under-ripe red and dark cherry and currant with a stony base and a gentle floral, spice and nutty lift. dry, with medium body, fine-textured medium tannins and plus acidity. fresh and juicy in mouth with good definition to the fruit and early integration of accents. very good length. lovely village-level wine that is approaching its drinking window. 13.5% AbV

Ok but very thin for a Gevrey Chambertin

Deep ruby coloured. Earthy aromas accompany spice, muted fruit, a bit of farmyard funk and cedar wood. In the mouth there is medium plus acidity, ripe red and black fruit, slight chocolate, long finish with medium fine tannin. For me it's a little bit overdone.
