Isenhower Cellars Cabernet Franc Road Less Traveled Weinbau Vineyard

It was better after being opened for a couple of hours, although I believe it is time to consume.

Might be hitting its peak. Red berries and oak on the nose. Similar flavors. Warming finish.

Decant or open for an hour, will be too acidic and smell of oak until then. Dark magenta purple in color, long legs. Nose full of forest berry compote and mint. Subtle trace of licorice. Round mouthfeel, polished, glycol clear. Lovely blueberry and cassis notes linger on the finish. Maybe a bit too much alcohol for some, especially as it stays open. I've had better editions of this, probably time to open.

All oak and alcohol on nose and palate. Way too much heat with no Cab Franc characteristics. This was waayy better two years ago.

Tst/lkt drank w/casey miller. Good go-to red.
