Vickery Riesling EVR 604 MZR Eden Valley

John Vickery Eden Valley 2017 Australia: pen mineralitet over gul frukt, skiferjirdsmonn? På vei inn i petro, men fortsatt på fruktsiden. Alsace style. Mangler litt syrestrutt men dette er ikke dårlig, og en vin som er på et interessant sted akkurat nå. Ca 87-88 p.

East End Wine Down (Adelaide) : Stone fruit and lighter tropical fruit. Very racy, with medium-low fruit concentration. Nice. Seems like a warmer (riper, more tropical and stone fruit) style than the Watervale, which is strange given that this is the higher altitude wine. I prefer the Watervale from 2017

Riesling Riot 2018 : Lime, pear, apple and some smoke. Nicely delicate palate, with the fruit and acid quite restrained. Nice drinking already but will leave a bottle for a few years and see what happens.

{screwcap, 12.5%, A$19} Pale straw with a green flash. Youthful nose of lime juice and melon tang. Palate is dry, but juicily-fruited, mostly limes, but with a sandy softening. Acid is medium, not harsh or screeching; the wine is light/medium-bodied with a medium length, slightly talc-like finish, but has a mouth-watering final note. Perhaps it's a bit on the simple side, but it's very drinkable. Probably at best in youth. Probably...
