An almost white colour. Zesty white fruit and apple blossom nose, really nice, with perhaps a hint of olive oil (strange but nice). There's sugar on the palate, but it's beautifully balanced by very zesty fruit and a backbone of acidity. Really nice wine, and their second cheapest, too. Definitely will buy more from Denbies. Allegedly the best selling English wine! M-T, Ortega and Bacchus blend – and perhaps Reichensteiner, website says so but bottle doesn't agree. A good “imitation” …

The wine was fruity on the nose, with pineapple, apple and hints of tropical fruits. On the palate the wine was slightly buttery, with pineapple and apple. The wine had high acidity and some residual sugar. The inexpensive, medium-bodied wine was fruity and easy-drinking. It was pretty basic without any complexity, but it could be enjoyable on hot summer days. I did not hate it, but I will not stock up on it or recommend it either. There is better …

Last two bottles drunk in convivial company as an aperatif on return from grand national. Still crisp and clear with fruit acid coming more to the fore than I recall in earlier bottles. Very fit for purpose.
