Pale browny red, eucalyptus, tomato red fruits on nose. Generous flavour, simple but very attractive. Good length.

Really quite generic and forgettable. Far better to pay a bit more for the mid-level Rioja Alta bottlings.

It's a shame that the cork disintegrated because the wine itself was surprisingly good considering. Medium aroma intensity. Notes of spicey oak and red fruit. Palate is a refreshing well balanced quaffer. Medium acidity and tannin. Would make a good food wine but enjoyable on it's own. Had to mark it down because of the cork but would've scored higher. 85.

Very pleasant, spicy, easy-to-like Rioja. Quite ripe and not all that elegant. Great with food, or just quaffable on its own. Not up to the standard of some of La Rioja Alta's "own" wines for just a little more money -- not superb value.
