Ah, a Pécharmant - I'm finally getting around to this appellation. (It's a smallish region within the Bergerac AOC.) 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot, 20+-year-old vines, aged in new and used oak barrels. Its true to its Bordeauxish profile, but not with much sense of new oak at all. Big funky, garrigue-ish blast on the nose upon first opening, but it blows off soon enough.
