Humanitas Cabernet Franc Schlumberger Bench

I liked this one even more than the last. Very good. Alas, no notes available.

Very good. Significantly softened, raspberry/cranberry.

Lots of raspberry, salty cured meats and some spice on the nose. In the mouth, more fruit (lots of fruit, but still pleasant), herbs. Medium finish that's a little minty, like a menthol cigarette.

Raspberry and cranberry, nicely tart but has a bit of backbone. Oak evident but held nicely in check. Best with food but not outside the realm of reason to enjoy it on its own.

Based on location alone, I thought that this was probably going to be a lighter Franc, but it turned out to be much darker than I was expecting. Cork withdrawn intact with zero bleed. A light red cherry stain on the cork. Decanted for 30 minutes. Poured a dark garnet red. When enjoyed, it was poured into glass with a lot of dark floral perfume. Poured through Vinturi. Nice red fruit with a hint of spice, good acidity. Subtle oak and tannins. Very enjoyable.
