Hunt Cellars Rhapsody in Red

Seemed a bit tired, some oak and residual sweet fruit but not much going on and a little flat on the end.

Not much on the nose. Taste is very fresh, nice cherries and bright fruits. Very nice acidity. Would never have guessed this was 12 years old. Somewhat if a bitter, long finish. Drinks very nice but not overly complex.

First impression poured right from bottle aromas are fantastic cherry hits me first than vanilla aromas blend with red fruit. Very soft on the front end and slowly builds to a medium full mid palate finishing long and elegant. lots of Red fruit and chocolate framed in vanilla very nice. Color is garnet legs are thin and long medium.

This wine is in its prime. Wonderful texture and smooth all the way through. Sad that it was my last bottle.

This wine is perfect now. Drank with some potent cheddar cheese and they were an almost perfect match. Stopped eating the cheese and kept going with the wine, smooth smooth smooth but not boring. One more bottle to go, will definitely drink it this year.

Nice fruit aroma with spice and earth. Smooth finish.
