A little too brambley for me but it did have its earthy charm.

Forgot how much I like this wine. The nose is very pretty with red fruit, earth and a bit of lavender. Full palate that is entertaining with layers of fruit and spice. Really nice lasting finish, thinking this will improve more with age but drinking very pretty right now.

Update from 11/18 note. Pacific Northwest from Portuguese grapes. Very unusual in that the initial palate impression is pretty, almost floral and more like a white wine, but then followed by dense red fruit, game and a little wildness but still in a light-bodied wine.

Smooth balanced with great structure. Drinking very well right now.
