Garnet to tawny in colour. Very dense and rich; almost new-Worldy and jammy to begin with. An evocative nose, showing old leather, clove, cherry liqueur. Lifted, perfumed and strong. Palate is super dense right now, with ample tannins and modest acidity. Can feel a touch flabby but does improve after a few hours of air. Pair with food. This is not easy to drink standalone.

Developing some real elegance and complexity. Showing aromas of black cherry, balsam, clove, menthol and old saddle leather. A lovely balance of Sangiovese and Montefalco, quite lifted and expressive. A rich mouthfeel, this is still packed and dense, and has a solid tannin / acid frame. Very good, esp at the price, and should start to evolve some nice complexity in next couple of years.

Dense, fruit forward, huge tanins, slightly dusty. A great concentration of dark cherries, tea leaves, clove, mint and dark chocolate. Very attractive, enchanting. Big in the mouth and still very young, though enjoyable now. This needs a good 3 (maybe more) hours of airtime to mellow the tanins and give some balance. Surely much better in a few years. There is sediment here; so decant.
