Cellartracker in the flesh with Pjhaines (Paul) Day two (Paul's place in Blackheath) : Plums, sweet spice, blackcurrant. Medium minus intensity juicy acidity, savoury with quite tight tannins, red over black plums, blackcurrant. Hmm to Okay for me

Dark berries and plums on the nose, palate reflects the same dark fruit. Tannin is integrated and doesn’t stand out but is still present to provide structure. Somewhat low acid and ripe but not too far in that direction. Ready to drink now but can keep. Quite good quality for its level.

Really beautiful merlot driven Bordeaux, nicely aged even after just 5 years. Cellarey with some subtle fruit tones

Dark, medium-bodied red in glass. Nose of dark fruit, damson, lick of vanilla. Taste was quite bold and earthy at first but with time (3 hours+) opened up to great full flavour of black cherry fruit, pepper and light oak. Satisfying. Softer the next day. Improved with plenty of air.

Deep purple colour. After an hour decanting, the nose is bold, black cherry. Smooth at first, followed by pepper and heat with an inky texture. The finish is similarly long and bold, again with some heat. This definitely needs more time. I happened to have some left 5-hours after opening and it was much more integrated.

Very good QPR. Could use a decant: quite rough at first, but opening up a lot in the glass.

Medium body. Good value for the money. Not too complex.
