Tomatoes on the vine, tomato paste, and as previously mentioned: cherry, tobacco, leather, orange peel, vegetable stock, and gobs of savory herbs, especially coriander. The tannins are still teeth scraping and mouth drying with pronounced acidity. This is just entering its drinking window. Patience will be rewarded.

Bottle 2 of 3 purchased and this is drinking nicely with more pronounced tertiary flavors. Dried red cherry, leather, dried tobacco, violet, balsamic raspberry. Very enjoyable.

An outstanding Brunello Di Montalcino! Light to medium ruby red in the glass with engaging aromas of plum, cranberries, orange peel, and hint of tobacco/leather. Mouthfeel is absolutely luscious with a complex texture imparting delightful fresh red fruit tastes. Smooth finish. This is a lovely Brunello to keep stock in my wine cellar.

First 2 (of 3) bottles have been excellent, with similar comments from guests. The tannins are so refined. Decanted about an hour before consumign this bottle.

Twin Cities Wine Club: Italian Tasting (Teresa's House (Minneapolis, MN)) : This opened up throughout the night. Vibrant wine with raspberries, dark cherries, menthol, spice and a bit of heat. Needs some cellar time and would hold until 2025. 91-93.

It needs to be decanted for at least a 1/2 an hr. It smooths out nicely. Notes of plum and blackberry.

15 minutes from wine cooler: tight, bright, yet smooth. Medium body and great backbone tannins. Definitely this will age well. Maybe another 5 yrs before it starts to really show.

Deep purple color and a closed nose hinted at the aggressive palate with unpleasant acid and tannic astringency. Even after several hours, the wine remained unpleasant. Obviously, I opened this Brunello way too early. Keep for 5 to 7 years before try or at least a decade if you wish to see this wines quality or potential.

This wine improved after opening but never entered a classic level. Nice dark fruit and some sandalwood notes but no funk, no leather, no tetriary notes.

perfect for a dinner of carnitas. In it's prime. Layers of fruit and complexity, yet still well integrated. It is like a well written play--flowing from scene to scene!

Tasted at Benvenuto Brunello NYC. From a female winemaker who has no importer to the USA and is made in a very traditional style. Packed full of flavor and density with great texture showing earthy, licorice and cherry on the nose and palate. Big, yet elegant, balanced and full of expressiveness without any new oak influence.

Tasted blind. Clear, bright, medium garnet, fading a little and brown on the rim, indicative of age or of a lighter-hued variety like Nebbiolo, Pinot Noir or perhaps Sangiovese. The nose is clean, developing (+) and medium (+) to high in intensity, with aromas of red cherry, black cherry, leather, earth and a fair amount of oak influence.
