Full ruby colour. Medium and developing nose with ripe blackberry, ripe black cherry, ripe blueberry, vanilla, crowberry, cloves, game and violet. Medium taste of ripe blackberry, ripe black cherry, ripe blueberry, vanilla, crowberry, forest floor, cloves, licorice and game. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium tannins. Medium body. A very good Crozes-Hermitage. Needed an hour of air to open. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well with beef or game.

Bien franc et fort gouteux. Assez intense et bien équilibré. Des mures, du poivre, de la fumée, du salin et une belle minéralité. Hyper long en finale.

[Restaurant Purchase] At restaurant Erassens, Souilhan. This is so much punching above its CH appellation, the 92 might be even conservative. It is medium+ intense on the nose, bordering on high, with deep black cherry, blackberry, minerality, kirsch, licorice, spices, floral notes. Great palate (medium+ acidity, medium+ tannins) with a long and lingering finish. Just absolutely great! 100% Syrah. Vines planted in 1962, bio since 1969 (!). 12 months in barrel (0-3 year old), then 12 months in stainless steel

Dark violet robe. Can't quite identify the nose, fruity, spicy, some white pepper. This wine is balanced from start to finish. The nose went to sweet, sugar rather quickly. I have one bottle left. I will let the one age 3-4 years. It feels like it will be even better then. Paired it with grilled filet mignon and asparagus. Also added some lobster and garlic butter to the equation. And some sautéed fiddleheads.

Tett rød. Typisk syrah. Avslepne tanniner. Litt rå potet. Høy syre. Deilig.

Was fun to try but right now too much wood is present and the wine seemed too simple. Opened 1 to try not likely to be buying other ones
