Coriole Diva Sangiovese Cabernet

Cork fell apart during extraction. Old, dusty nose, with mild, gentle notes of brown vinegar and kirsch, and strong emerging notes of garlic and pepper. Palate shows strong fruit (sour cherry, raspberry, cherry tomato, blackberry), with bold, sour acidity and a sprinkling of tea-like tannin. The tannin is quite faded, probably due to age, but it's still showing remarkably strong primary fruit flavours, and the acidity makes the fruit notes more sour than sweet, which adds interest.
