Parusso Barolo Riserva Bussia Vigna Rocche

Bought this wine at an HDH auction, as previous Parusso wines I have found to be a little meh, and the age concerned me. To my great surprise, this wine is stunning, powerful and forward, yet with some grace and finesse. Nice accompaniment to a Tuscan Ribolatta. Quintessentially Italian, with fine cigar nuance and dried dark cherry. I visited Parusso about 12 years ago….he’s a bit of an odd duck but a brilliant winemaker
