Another short note, delicious. Raspberries, very juicy, pronounced acidity, minerality, very good stuff.

Old world fruit, nuanced and layered complexity. Light on its feet, this is a delight!

Had the wine at dinner with friends at Chambers in Tribeca. No real tasting notes, but I remember juicy black-fruit notes, some minerality, and herbal notes. The tannins were settling through the night, and the guests loved it. This wine represented excellent value, especially for a wine at a nice restaurant.

Earthy and mineral, with juicy black fruits. Well balanced this time. Serious grenache but hard to drink at times The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like prune, forest floor, mushroom, stoniness, light toast, clove, tobacco and meaty.

Lots of structure and minerality, on the front and back of the palate, couple with rich dark black fruits. Vertical and intense, loads of structure. Above average in quality, and higher if aged more, and average in value if at $50.

Remarkably fine and fragrant nose. Feels unoaked. Pure and cool fruit. More simple on palate. Makes me wanna try their top cuvées.

Pnp at restaurant. Decanted at the table but that was a mistake (my fault). No aromatics initially (hence the decant) but it opened up within a couple minutes. Beautiful nose, richly perfumed, strawberry and cranberry. Just about as good as it gets. Tasted Grenache dominant with a touch of Syrah, fruit forward, high alcohol, medium plus acid, medium body. Slight bitterness on the finish, a nod to the cranberry on the nose. Tannins slightly underripe. Adore this wine.

Quite the revelation. Elegant, light on its feet, playfull, lots of energy here, Burgundian style, juicy, unforced. Will be even better in a couple of years. 93+

Oozing from the glass with aromas of cherry and raspberry fruit, flowers. Wonderful ripe red fruited palate, well contained, great structure and balance. This has white pepper notes as well. Elegant, almost Burgundian, no wonder this is impossible to buy, even in Gigondas. Le Nez, Gigondas.

Excellent structure, weight and flavours. Needs a few years to settle down.

Mediterranea (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street) : Baked non delineated red fruits are a little jammy, touch of garrigue. Rich and chewy on the palate; the combination of concentrated (albeit savoury) fruits and woody tannins is quite over-powering. Woof.

Bright moderate+ acidity and 14% abv balanced by ripe blackberry/blackcurrant fruit with some strawberry jam and redcurrant and licorice as well. Firm tannins and subtle oak (texture, spice and vanilla notes) give the wine structure. Length is moderate+

Thin nose of white pepper rasberry, charcuterie, light oak, bit of lemon mint green tea. Watery palate, with a bit of acidity and some tannin in the mid- to late-palate.

Powerful and cool, very fine for 2013; this has spice, garrigue, backbone and sense of place, old fashioned Gigondas, still very young. #Kandestederne

Flatiron Southern France (Flatiron, SF) : Medium minus ruby. Notable raisination (jammy red cherry) on the nose, with earth and a distinctive black pepper note. Cool! Classic GSM - Raisination of red cherry fruit, black pepper. Med body, med+ alcohol, med acid, med tannins - scratchy. Rustic but with good ripeness and some integration.
