Vina Cobos Cabernet Sauvignon Cocodrilo

Showing it’s age with a deep garnet color and a slightly brown hue at the rim. The nose is unmistakably old Cabernet with notes of tobacco and baking spice giving way to rich red and black fruits. Rich berries , licorice, and spice on the palate with totally resolved tannins. Older vina cobos wines for me always have a distinct dried fig flavor that shines through.

New world wine. Napa reminiscent style. A big wine for the $. A bit wild, untamed and all over the place but very good with pure fruit and intensity. Blueberry and blackberry fruit, tobacco and spice. Just tasty juice.

Very consistent with the spassanisi description. Pretty one dimensional.

Overbearing at first. Decanted for an hour and it became very pleasant. Try again in a year or two.

hard tanins initially, decanted and it really opened up. very nice fruit. seems like it will cellar nicely for a few years.

Poured at a retailer tasting. Ruby color. Herb, eucalyptus and dark fruit notes. Chewy tannins, with dark fruit and oak on the palate. Decent finish.
