A private lunch (Restaurant Bak, Amsterdam, NL) : Made from 100% Chardonnay, disgorged July 2019, no dosage. Clear expression, clean lines, stony, palpable minerality, very good length.

Pure cool understated chalky/mineral nose. Mouth is simply clean fresh grippy pithy and balanced with a kiss of tension. Delicious simple and appropriate entry level wine. Nothing to complain about here.

Droog, zacht en ziltig. Fris als mineraal water. Mineraal ook, bijna stenig. Lang en schoon. Erg goed.

The first vintage ever of this rosé wine - although the vintage is not disclosed in the label due to the bottle aging time being not long enough for a Vintage Champagne. The grapes were macerated in the wine for 24 hours. No dosage, so classified as Brut Nature. Disgorged in Jul 2017. 12% alcohol. Served blind. Youthful, luminous translucent cherry red color. Very green and almost unripe nose with aromas of asparagus, unripe blackcurrant, some earthy tones, a little …
