Opened at Le Parc in Champagne. P&P and enjoyed. Chose because this is hard to find and rare, but unfortunately wasn't that good, especially in comparison to the B Boisson-Vadot served next to it. Quite crisp and linear, without corresponding richness to balance - not what I expected. Probably drinking at peak and is well integrated, and as such I wouldn't hesitate to drink up.

If you told me this was a 5 year old wine and not an almost 12 year old wine I would completely believe you. I'm not really getting any aged or secondary characteristics, but it is pleasant and nicely balanced. Nice minerally finish but overall seems a little simple for a premier cru.

Had a rich golden color. Nose had aromas of grilled lemon, butterscotch, and honeydew, with an underlying yeastiness that was not at all unpleasant. It had a somewhat creamy texture with nice acidity poking through. Subdued papaya and other tropical flavors, with apricots and a health dose of citrus. The finish was a tad lemon/limey with a little bit of heat. Probably in its prime now

Quick Impressions from the 2019 La Paulée Verticals Tasting (Eventi Hotel, New York) : Light yellow. Less oaky, flint and citrus on the nose--now this is more like it. Delicate, well measured orange fruit, very good legth and acidty, fine minerality toward the end. This is a winner with plenty of time in hand.

La Paulée de New York - The Verticals (Eventi Hotel - New York NY) : Tasting, brief note. The star of the vertical. Rich aromas and flavors with a complex array of citrus, orchard and stone fruit, maybe even a few tropical hints. Very good density, good minerality. Possibly a little upside, but certainly in its peak drinking window.

La Paulée de NY Verticals Tasting (Kimpton Hotel Eventi) : 11/10/09 The most full and intense aromas of the vertical. Great richness with a myriad a fruit and mineral flavors. Plenty of acid freshness balancing out the rich fruit. 92-93

Nose had stone fruit, citrus, minerals, and tropical fruit. The acidity and minerality on the palate were sharp and distinct. Give this 5 more years. A very good pc chassagne. A point or two upside with aging from here.

BYO lunch on 18/12/15. We opened with this; straight out of the gate this hits you with an intense nose of melons, tropical fruits and wet stone. The palate has a buttery lanolin texture and a mid yellow colour. There is a high volume of melony, baked apple fruit counterpointed by intense minerality and lifted acidity. A very tight bouquet which showed some peaches and lots of calcerous soil. On the palate very structured with a high level of acidity and a lot of minerality. This needs to be put away and might archieve greatness in 5-10 years.

Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne - Des Maranges au Montrachet en passant par Santenay et Saint-Aubin (Château de Chassagne-Montrachet) : Tasting. Just bottled on Monday so tough to assess, but lots of good fruit still able to emerge.
