S. Bonifacio Biferno Camillo de Lellis Riserva

I've been drinking this wine for years and this latest vintage just doesn't taste right. It's normally old, stewed and a little bit rustic in a really enjoyable way but this one just tasted of vanilla like a cheap supermarket shiraz. Some really heavy-handed new oak or more likely oak chips going on here. It's still a lot of wine for the money, £7.95, it's just not quite as charmingly old school as it used to be.
