Clear dark ruby color. Clean aromas, medium+ intensity. Primary notes of tart cherry and raspberry with briary earth and secondary clove, tea-leaf and lavender. Dry on the palate with medium+ acid and tannin and full body. Intense bright red fruit notes, gaining richness on the mid-palate, and accented with secondary spice and earth. Fine round grainy tannins and juicy red fruit finishing notes. Very nice and showing well.

Classic Santa Maria nose. On the palate, this is dominated by candied red fruit. Not unpleasant, but a little simple. Finish was surprisingly short.
