An experiment for me: I drank one bottle and laid the second down to see whether it would improve. And it did. As a mature wine it has more depth and richness compared with its original one-note character (ripe fruit). With tertiaries now present, there was zero flab and great integration. So, with age, this tasted like a $25-30 wine. Sometimes you get lucky.

Very dark, Rhone style blend. Traditional color and nose, somewhat artificial finish. Better out there.

Lovely value, smooth, dark, lush, almost chewy, without the RS, not a lot of structure, but should drink well for a few more years.

Last tasted 4/2022, still quite enjoyable, lots of dark fruit but still manages to show some terroir. An amazing QPR!!!

Just the right wine to serve with Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Sausage. Impressed by how well they paired

Good wine for the price a very easy to drink. I would buy again! The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is medium. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes short.

We haven’t opened a bottle in a while, now I remember why I’ve been saving them. So nicely balanced. Bright, vibrant, earthy, fruity, spice. Great finish.

Continues to impress, in fact one of the best QPR’s in recent memory, has enough structure to cellar for at least five plus years in a cool environment.

This vintage may even be better than the 2018, very rich, intense, concentrated, full of sweet dark berries, totally fruit forward with little complexity never going to wow you with elegance or finesse, but the bang is there for the $$. Outstanding QPR if that sorta thing matters, for me I will buy more just for the fruit and the immediate pleasure this Lanquedoc provides!

Maybe the best sub $10 wine at Trader Joe's. The name might be an allusion to CDP style GSM blends from the Rhone, but this is a Languedoc Vin de Pays d'Oc. Dark berry and plum. No astringency or bitterness anywhere to be found. Perfect weeknighter or to bring to a party.

Delightful GSM blend, for an incredibly low price! 40% grenache, 35% syrah, 25% mouvedre. Rich dark color, dark berry notes, mild tannins. Another terrific buy from Trader Joe's.

Medium ruby. Tar, tobacco, black cherry jam. Medium+ acidity, medium- tannin but bitter aftertaste, medium alcohol, medium body. Doesn’t really taste like a GSM but easy drinking.

Purple in the glass, evident legs. Nose says minerality (pencil lead (graphite), maybe flint and charcoal?), leather, and a spiced fruit/alcohol combo scent. Mouth introduces medium-full body with balanced sweetness and acidity. Given the 14.5% alcohol, I was concerned that this would be overheated or oversweet - not the case! I get some cranberry, blackberry, leather, and then more spices (black pepper with a caramel / coffee edge). Tannins and alcohol come in with the spices and linger, though not …

This label started many years ago to great success as a negociant marketed GSM from a Rhone based winemaker who also makes the excellent value CdP sold at TJ. This label was one of the best values at TJs. Problem with negociant labels is that the winemaker can be easily replaced keeping the brand labeling the same. Marketed by the B&C corp, the wines are now made in Languedoc-Rousillon that can clone any region in France. The initial vintages after …

Very good wine for under $10. Great representation of a budget south France GSM. Plum and raspberry on the nose, with a hint of tobacco, leads to a supple medium bodied wine. Great tannin structure gives this wine lots of character.
