This is serious stuff. Already attractive but this will last 10 years or more. Good value for the quality and notably better (and cheaper) than the 2017 Domaine Rossignol Trapet Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes drunk a couple of days before (see note).

Very nice balance and depth of flavor. Glad to have 4 more bottles in the cellar to sample over the next few years.

Shocked how good this was for the price. Well put together with a great mix of light red fruits and a certain earthiness. Like a merger of California and Oregon Pinots. Really good!

Bought this beauty at a yard sale for $15, and was pleasantly rewarded. Elegant and earthy; with cherry blossom, ripe strawberries, Belgian chocolate (or is it Swiss?), and some hits of clove and nutmeg. Paired beautifully with my Hunter's Schnitzel.

Nose of Coca Cola and cream soda. Lots of vanilla on the palate, along with Cherry Coke, but there is enough else going on here, including spice and cinnamon to keep it interesting. Good structure and balance.

Similar to previous experience. Cherry and baking spice. This time tasted side by side with a Sandhi Santa Rita Hills. Decent in its own right, but easily dominated by the Sandhi tasted side by side. Noticeable heat on the finish, heavier mid palate and more obvious vanilla oak than the Sandhi. Finish is also short and simple compared to the Sandhi. Worlds apart in quality level.

Nice for the (highly discounted at $25) price range. Baking spice and cherry nose. Some decent earthiness by Sonoma standards. Good balance with plenty of acidity. No signs of cola, only the slightest bit of vanilla, but barely noticeable.

Nice clarity and dark garnet hue and dense color, and not a lot of translucence for a Pinot Noir. Smells are vanilla, raspberry, dark chocolate, and dark cherries. The tastes are cherry, black olive, spicy notes, and earthy notes of fall leaves and stone. This is a pleasant wine with a little heat and extracted fruit. The tannins are furry and dry and the body is medium to heavy. This is a pleasant wine.

Similar to the earlier notes. Not as good as the 07.

Savory, dry cherry-berry palate with pomegranate, leather, Christmas spice and herbs, and a prominent mineral earthy character. Dry, tannic and very well structured. Good accompaniment to Thanksgiving turkey.

Dark fruit with loads of thick earthy tones and textures. Quite drinkable and enjoyable, yet a little out of balance.

Red berry and pomegranate, cardamom and other baking spices, with a mineral core and a fairly long spicy finish.

Strong anise nose, roses, and dark , bittersweet chocolate. Deep ruby color, elegant. Notes of big bing cherries, covered in dark, bittersweet chocolate, with leathery overtones. Complex and rather dark for a Pinot.

Ruby color. Aromas of cherry, blackberry, baking spice, floral, earth. On the palate, those plus minerality and oak (cedar, smoke). Medium body; medium + tannin, high acidity, medium+ finish. Nice balance with the fruit, spice, minerality, nice acidity and surprisingly high tannin level. Slightly lighter style, letting the minerality show some. Perhaps too much oak, otherwise an excellent Pinot.

Color was dark. Slight sediment in the glass and bottle. Nose has subtle black cherry and rose petals. Palate was medium with a tart dry finish. Was not showing well tonight. 5,12,14,5=86
